Peace after Divorce: A Workshop in The Work of Byron Katie

Divorce has been rated the second most stressful event in a person's life, right underneath "Death of a spouse".  For so many, the anger, sadness, and disappointment that often follows divorce (or breaking up) can last literally for a lifetime.

How can one handle the experience of divorce or breaking up in a way that genuinely respects the healing process, respects all relevant parties (including you), and authentically puts life-draining heart-break, confusion, and resentment finally to bed?

For many people all over the world, including myself, The Work of Byron Katie has represented a very simple and effective way to navigate one's way back to a position of clarity and peace regarding such circumstances. Decades of anger and confusion can be collapsed through the practice of this Work. There is no teaching involved, only Self-Inquiry and the direct consultation of the true Guru and Final Authority: You.

The Work of Byron Katie is a way of identifying and questioning thoughts that cause stress. People who practice The Work commonly report the alleviation of depression, reduced anger, and improved relationships.

On Sunday, September 19th from 1 to 3, at The Center for Letting Go in Rumson, I will host a workshop in The Work of Byron Katie that directly deals with stressful thoughts that pertain to divorce or break-up. The format will not include any physical yoga, just a pen and paper, Inquiry, and the open minds and hearts of supportive new/old friends.
